Lots of vacation and fun with friends

Coleson's first baseball game. He loved the fireworks after!

Time to rest at 7 peaks
First time sitting in a shopping cart, he looked pretty worried the whole time!
 Visiting mom at work
7 peaks makes Coleson very tired
 Tubby time with Daniel!

Mark and Coleson at Lake Powell
Nap time was rare at Powell, but we loved when  it did happen
 Swimming with Grandpa
 Coleson and his buddy Luke
A bad picture but he loved ice cream!
 Hanging out in the ER
Is it time to go home yet Dad?

So we just got home from a fun 2 weeks of vacation. A couple days in California and then a week at Lake Powell! Coleson loved all the attention that he got from all of his friends and family! He wasn't a huge fan of the car rides, but we all made it in one piece.

Lake Powell is always fun and adventurous. It is also a whole new experience with a baby. Coleson is such a good baby, but even he had some hard days, with the heat and all the people. Being home he definitly misses everyone and all the attention he got. He is now very mobile as well. We were in the ER on a Saturday night because he has been eating our carpet and not keeping food down. So we finally left at 1 am, and everything checked out fine. Silly boy. He had a great time being there though, the doctors and nurses wanted to carry him around on their rounds and he crawled around to everyone making friends, such a social little guy.

Hooray for summertime!

Coleson causing trouble when he is supposed to be sleeping
This is what I find in the morning, pants and diaper off!
Going for a walk along the provo trail. Coleson loves going on walks outside, we are so glad it is finally warm

First time wearing his lifejacket. We wasn't so sure about it, but he absolutley loved being in the water!

 Such a cute smiley boy!
You can't tell here, but he loved to splash in the water for hours! Here he had just splashed himself in the face and wasn't too sure about that
Day 2 at 7 peaks, ready to party!
Coleson got so tired that he fell asleep when we were in the lazy river, and stayed asleep when we got out and layed him down! So cute!

We are so glad that it is finally summertime! Coleson loves to be outside and in the water, so happy he is a water baby! We are going to go to 7 peaks every day that we can this summer with lots of friends! We are headed to CA in a few weeks to see family and have some Eric and Ashlee time (we are staying in the W Hollywood Hotel!) and then we are off to Lake Powell with the Miller's.

Coleson is just about 7 months old and we are expecting him to crawl any day now. Even though he isn't crawling yet he is getting into a world of trouble! About 10 days ago he fell out of his bumbo chair, off the table and all the way to the floor! Dad felt pretty bad, but no serious injuries. Then today, while Mom was getting dressed for church, he rolled off of our bed! He is getting super active and it is getting hard to keep track of him! He still loves to do his crunches all day long, and has started hamming it up with the ladies. We were at the park at a BBQ and Coleson just wanted to be laying in his friend Andalyn's lap, silly guy. At church all the girls love to play with him, because he is just so smiley and interactive!

Eric is still in his Spring semester at BYU and working at the MTC (although he has not had missionaries since the end of April!) He is now in the EQ presidancy and is happy to finally have a calling again. He is super excited for vacation at the end of the month. I am still working just 2 days a week cutting hair, and loving that it is warm so we can spend all our free time outside!

6 months!

So we went to Coleson's 6 month check up today. He is 17lbs (gettin chunky!), and 27 inches long. His head is still only in the 10th percentile, haha, sorry buddy, you got my small peanut head! He got his shots like a champ. We gave him his first baby food, sweet potatoes... He wasn't so sure about them at first, but towards the end he decided they were alright.

Evolution of Coleson

So here is a major update... Being in labor is awesome! (I know I'm crazy). I got induced a week after my due date. I didn't get pitocin, so I got to eat during the whole thing. I got the pill at 2pm. Courtnee, Eric and I ate Panda Express and watched Bride Wars. Around 3:30pm contractions started, I had one that lasted 8 minutes but I didn't feel it, Coleson's heart rate went down, so they put me on oxygen. After that massive one they started coming on every minute, with no break in between, that was a little uncomfortable. I got the epidural at 5:30pm and at 6:15 I was a 10 and my water still hadn't broken, so they broke it, I pushed for 10 minutes and Coleson was born at 6:51.
He was 7 lbs 5 oz, and 18.5 inches, on the smaller side for being a week late. At his 2 week appointment he had already gained a pound and a half and grown an inch and a half.

 Thanksgiving in Park City
 My first Santa picture

Headed to the LA Zoo with my favorite boys

 Watching some basketball with Dad
Aunt Courtnee is teaching me young to like soda (don't worry, no soda was actually involved)
He was most interested in the bow on his Easter basket than what was inside
Grandma has a huge sink and Coleson loves to splash in it, he got banned from the sink that very night
Driving to CA, he was so good the whole time.
I am so lucky to have such a good boy. He rarely cries, and is always happy. He is super mellow and just goes with the flow of whatever is going on around him. And yes, his hair went from almost black to light brown. Love you bug!

Happenings as of late...

                                   Easter Sunday 2011
We are ready for summer to be here! Coleson is 6 months old now and growing so much every day. He rolling over to get to his toys, doesn't want to be rocked to sleep anymore, and loves to play with other kids. He loves to go on walks and be outside. His favorite person to play with is his Dad. He loves to watch basketball and TV in general. We are excited to spend lots of time with family and friends this summer and go on some great vacations!
